Hospital Bed to 5K: W4D1

My progression in C25K training went like this:

W1D1
W1D2
W1D3
W2D1
W3.5D1

and today I extended that to W4D1.  Due to a variety of issues not related to running, I was forced to use my elliptical trainer on difficulty 3 (roughly as hard as running is) instead of actual running.

For those not familiar with it, elliptical trainers will give you a nice aerobic workout.  Unfortunately, the stresses and exercise affects your muscles differently

Workout
  1. 5 min brisk walk (warm up)
  2. 5 min stretch
  3. 2x (3 min run + 1.5 min walk + 5 min run + 2.5 min walk)
  4. 5 min walk (cool down)
  5. 5 min stretch


Summary:
3.2 miles (5K+ distance, yeah) in 37.5 minutes on my elliptical.  Max heart rate 160 bpm with average heart rate under 150 bpm.
